AUGUST 2008 PICNIC At the August 2008 Picnic, AUTHOR’S SHOWCASE will present three-minute readings by as many as seven Manuscripters. SHOWCASE uses a three minute time limit and a list. If you’d like to read an excerpt of your work, select material to fit the time limit, and reserve a slot by sending a 3" × 5" card to: Richard Myers, 407 Avenida De Jose, Redondo Beach, CA 90277. Mail a 3x5 card; no reservations taken by phone. Print clearly these five items; Name, Address, Phone, Working Title, and Genre (poetry, essay, novel, short story, play, memoir, etc.) If you prefer to hear your work read, request that and we will assign a qualified reader. Deadline: Postmark no later that July 21, 2008. A late postmark is not processed. This is a planned program of seven scheduled slots. Reservations are first come first served, in order of request. Please do not ask for a last-minute exception. Mail your request today.
