he SmokeHouse was built at the end of WWII and is one of the few L.A. restaurants of that era to survive until today. It has the decor and aura of a bygone age and has grown steadily with the expansion of the movie industry and through the kind support within the Burbank community.
The original restaurant was located at the corner of Pass Avenue and Riverside Drive and seated 46 people. It was enjoyed by local luminaries like Bob Hope and Bing Crosby. The Smokehouse was so successfull and packed with customers that they soon began looking for a new building. In 1949 the Smokehouse moved to its current location where the Red Coach Inn has been built.

Happy Anniversary!   We have a great event planned to celebrate our 25 years of keeping Mr. Holmes' memory green in Southern California. We will discuss our past and present legacy as a Sherlockian Scion, and gaze into our future with an eye toward preserving our rich heritage.
We will welcome new members, present toasts and enjoy the musings of Sherlockian scholars &authors and don't forget to read up and be ready to take a quiz on MUSG.
This is a Semi Formal event, Victorian attire is encouraged but never mandatory. (Bustle & hoop dresses are not recommended for this venue).
*The 25th Anniversary keepsake will be available only for free to current (2015) dues paying members in attendance. The keepsake will then be available for purchase by those not in attendance for $20.00 at future events.
